Quitterie Gounot

• Covered elementary school English classes (bilingual native speakers and ESL) and one section of history in English during semester-long maternity leave, adapting lesson plans based on student needs.
• Taught students age 5-10 in mixed-level classes, differentiating instruction according to grade level and language proficiency.

• Lived with inaugural cohort of Northeastern U. students at the American U. of Paris for their first semester of college.
• Served as key resource and point of contact for group of 20 students and provided individual support throughout the semester.
• Organized and ran cultural outings and other programming.
• Responded to student issues and documented incidents; participated in 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Used mastery of French and English to collaborate with various stakeholders as Housing Liaison.
• Fostered bonding and reflection through mandatory Community Forum sessions for the entire cohort (94 total) on topics like cultural adjustment.
