As a CSR Manager at Splio, I had the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Co-CEOs to redesign our organizational system, with the objective to boost employee engagement and overall organizational performance. This involved building a CSR department from the ground up, focusing on governance best practices, prioritizing People topics, and advocating for environmental awareness internally and externally. Through extensive stakeholder outreach and internal buy-in, we successfully integrated CSR as a company-wide initiative across multiple departments and international offices.

  • Established a CSR governance structure and oversaw its evolution and growth: a CSR committee to oversee the deployment of several CSR projects, reporting quarterly to the comEX, and annually to the board. Projects included elaboration of internal policies & processes, design and implementation of internal trainings on DEI, Climate Change, etc.
  • Worked alongside the CEO to redesign the “People” function through creating and leading several core teams assisting the HR team to improve decision-making on topics such as our remote policy, language program, mental wellbeing, etc.
  • Led the design and implementation of an Internal Communication Audit to understand prevalent communication inefficiencies and make actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Designed an Engagement & Satisfaction Index to quantify & track employee engagement, and identify areas of strength & concern (particularly during Splio’s recent acquisition of Tinyclues).

  • Conducted research on NGO Governance and Board Development and reported back to the Executive Director.
  • Assisted in the editing and publishing of Handicap International weekly press releases.
  • Conducted Arabic to English translations, transcriptions and briefings of interviews with Syrian refugees as part of the Stop Bombing Civilians campaign.
  • Worked with the institutional funding team to identify and review US government grants for HI's field projects.
