Throughout the summer, I was employed by a family friend Chief Engineer who works within the superyacht industry. This allowed me to gain an introduction to the basic skills and tasks required whilst maintaining and operating his 12m day boat over the summer months. These tasks included:
- Monitored weather reports to avoid hazardous conditions.
- Conducted routine maintenance checks to prevent sudden breakdowns.
- Handled ropes during towing and docking activities.
- Performed navigational duties under captain's supervision for accurate journey planning and execution.
- Completed extensive wash-downs, waxing and polishing tasks.
- Worked electrical problems involving rewiring navigation and anchor lights.

Interests
Since a young age I have had a passion for rugby, I am still involved with my local team and manage to play most Saturdays when it's not too wet in the UK., I am a keen mountain biker and throughout the year I visit bike park wales and other bike parks in the UK with a group of my friends., Surfing is another one of my interests. I love to surf, especially in the summer when I can integrate it with travelling, allowing me to meet new people and see new places whilst doing what I love.
