• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of budget monitoring and reporting exercises, providing the Senior Leadership team with robust information and explanations to assist them in making informed decisions
• Producing expenditure forecasts for programme managers
• Drafting year end accounts in conjunction with the Finance Team Leader and liaise with external audit to ensure delivery of a clean set of accounts
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of budget monitoring and reporting exercises, providing the Finance Business Partnering team and budget holders with robust information and explanations to assist them in making informed decisions.
• Working with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and providing advice and constructive challenge to ensure expenditure is properly incurred and accounted for
• Assist as required in the preparation and collation of the Transport Scotland Annual Report and Accounts and liaise with internal and external audit to ensure delivery of a clean set of accounts
• Provide the Finance Business Partner and budget holders with robust forecasts and explanations to to allow them to submit accurate information to the Finance Business Partnering Team
• Provision of financial management advice to stakeholders through delivery of financial reporting and analysis and supplying high quality regular financial updates to key stakeholders, within and outwith the finance team.
