Seat 1 - Construction Litigation

Supported both domestic and international large-scale, high-value construction litigation claims, predominantly at the intersection of the construction, asset, and transport sectors.

Key projects include:

• Domestic residential litigation dispute valued at £500,000: Instructed independent counsel, researched and instructed structural and quantum experts, and liaised with counsel to produce and file a defense with the London County Court. Served as the daily point of contact for our experts and counsel.
• International energy asset dispute with settlement value of £150,000,000: Drafted witness statements in respect of a large-scale international dispute between a contractor and an energy infrastructure group. Drafted force majeure letters in reaction to international conflict impacting upon the contested asset. Assisted in the discovery, liaised with experts, and provided support during the settlement process.

Seat 2- Asset, Trade, and Commodities Finance

Assisted in a broad range of finance transactions spanning asset (aviation finance), trade, commodities, and ECA-backed project financings.

Key projects have included:

• €1.25 billion ECA-backed green-energy facility: As the sole trainee, I liaised with local counsel, organized incoming CPs, corresponded with Borrower's counsel, drafted ancillary facility documents, and coordinated the multi-jurisdictional hybrid signing process. I was later individually commended by the lender for my support throughout the transaction process.
• Bank sale and repayment of Bombardier Challenger aircraft: Drafted documentation needed to release a charge over an aircraft, as well as preparing necessary filings and Eurocontrol documentation.
• Second-Priority Security over UK Based Company: Independently drafted guarantee, debenture, and second priority share mortgage to assist in secondary security taken over UK-based company following international merger.

Seat 3 - Aviation Finance Secondment to Airbus SAS.

Selected for an international client secondment to Airbus SAS in Toulouse, France. Currently gaining hands-on manufacturer-side experience in aviation finance, including ECA-backed transactions, aircraft deliveries, sales negotiations, PDP financings, and confidentiality agreements.

Key projects include:

• Reviewed and coordinating Airbus-side refinancing documentation for 52 aircraft post Air India merger.
• Redrafted precedent PDP financing deed documents to better address critical airline and lessor risk elements.
