Diplomat and multilateral negotiator with more than 15 years of experience in international security, development cooperation, and food security and nutrition. Former Political Coordinator of the team that represented the Dominican Republic as an elected member of the United Nations Security Council. Currently serving as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in France, with responsibility for coordinating the bilateral and multilateral agenda with key actors such as the French Government, the OECD, and the International Organization of La Francophonie. Previously served as Deputy Chief of Mission to the UN agencies based in Rome (FAO, IFAD, and WFP), where she also held the position of Vice-President of the WFP Executive Board and was a member of the FAO Finance Committee, representing Latin America and the Caribbean.
· Dominican Republic’s engagement as an elected member of the UN Security Council, leading the mission’s team in negotiations and high-level decision-making.
· Defined strategies and built alliances to shape outcomes on Security Council resolutions and presidential statements.
· Strengthened coordination among Political Coordinators to advance collective initiatives within the Council.
· Coordination of the Dominican Republic’s Security Council Presidencies (January 2019, April 2020), spotlighting national priorities, notably the link between armed conflict and hunger, positioning food security as a peace and security issue.
