One-Site 1 month Internship: Operations and Maintenance Engineering at Deir Ammar Combined Cycle Power Plant 🏭

• Assisted in training fellow engineering students, organizing lectures, presentations, and site visits to the power plant.
• Supported around 30 engineering students from my university, helping them gain the same in-depth experience I had during my first internship in 2023.
• Provided access to the book 'A Journey to Power: Deir Ammar Combined Cycle Power Plant.' And shared valuable documentation and information with the trainees.
• Deepened my knowledge in power generation through additional courses with expert engineers on hydraulic and pneumatic industrial sequential control, ASME design codes, and Fluid SIM software training.

On-site, 3-month internship:

• Acquired practical knowledge in power generation industry, thermodynamics of combined cycle systems, gas turbines, and steam turbines.
• Gained hands-on experience with a heavy diesel engine generator.
• This internship provided a comprehensive exploration of both the theoretical and practical aspects of combined cycle power plants.
• Took valuable courses with expert engineers on industrial automation and control, project management, and firefighting, further expanding my technical and management skills.
• Led a team to create a comprehensive 600-page report titled: 'A Journey to Power: Deir Ammar Combined Cycle Power Plant'. Provided in-depth information on power block, gas turbines, steam turbines, and associated subsystems.
• Demonstrated leadership and effective collaboration throughout the project.
• Developed skills in documenting complex engineering systems.
• Received a commendation from my mentor, an experienced engineer, for my performance during the internship and left a positive impression on operators, engineers, and staff at the power plant.
• Prepared and presented a workshop with the IEEE club at the university to share experiences and inspire fellow students.
